 Welcome to The Red Begonia Tea Garden - a haven for tea and garden enthusiasts alike. Nestled in Egbert, near the villages of Cookstown and Thornton, our picturesque gardens are the perfect setting to savor a selection of teas and delicious homemade baked goods. 

Visit us Wednesday through Saturday for 'elevenses' from 10am-12noon and enjoy muffins, scones, or biscuits; or from 1:00pm-4:00pm where an assortment of baked delights will be served.  Come and indulge in a serene experience that will connect you to nature and nurture the soul. Tea, baked goods AND a  memorable garden tour - all included with your kind donation.

Early morning visits are a bit cooler, whereas afternoon visits can be enjoyed in shaded and secluded settings to offset our somewhat hot summers.

Our Garden Settings

The Wish Pond, Old Man Brolley's Fence, Under the Pines and The Red Begonia Lounge are our idyllic settings offering serene comfort and visuals of our enchanting gardens.  Press pause, sit, and relax. Let us spoil you in green ambiance - an experience you won't soon forget! 
Old Man Brolley's Fence is an alluring setting created to allow our guests a complete view of our manicured lawns and cottage gardens.
Under the Pines and The Wish Pond  are both delightful settings.  One offers the friendly babble of a water garden while the other will shade you in the ambiance of mature pines.  
Enjoy the The Red Begonia Lounge in comfort.  Accommodating parties from 2 to 8 guests, The Lounge offers privacy while allowing lovely views to all of our garden settings.  Guests often take memorable photographs at the picture wall, shown here at the 5 stepped entrance to the lounge.
Escape and relax in the sanctuary of our cottage gardens while engaging your senses with a hot tea and home made treat.
Your kind donation for the afternoon includes a garden tour, seating that will take your breath away, and tea and treats to savor. Contact us by phone at 705 435 8583 to let us know you are coming.   We'll put the kettle on.
Also, should you have a special occasion you wish to celebrate, we can accommodate you and your group, on your special day.  
Anne is a retired Master Gardener with over 25 years of gardening expertise,  while Larry is well known far and wide for his sought after banana muffins and chocolate haystack cookies.  A quick fact... he is responsible for planting and maintaining over 350 red begonias all located in our front gardens.  You can't miss them when you arrive!  Bring your camera.
